Porsches aren’t just about the horsepower

While chatting to Arash Farboud, the man behind both the original Farboud GT and the new Arash supercar (with a naming policy as imaginative as that he’s going to be stuck if he ever builds a third), we got on to the subject of what was in his garage.
As well as the Carrera GT he lent us for this month’s cover shoot he has various other exotics including a Ferrari F430 and Lamborghini Gallardo. But they share space with a humble Porsche 924. Not even a 924S which had the proper 2.5-litre Porsche engine, but a bog basic 2.0.

Apparently, he bought it years ago to mess about with and pull apart to learn how cars tick and now it’s one of his most treasured possessions. Just goes to show it’s not just about the horsepower. Porsches don’t need power to worm their way into your affections.
