The big dimensions, cossetting ride quality and gutless engines don’t lend themselves to involving driving dynamics, but for something wearing the Blue Oval, the Ford Edge goes above and beyond to be sinful in its dull drive. Regardless of power levels, both models feel sluggish and the Powershift auto-changer manages to consume any tangible performance gain between the different power guises. Nevertheless comfort, space and styling are all a tick and the levels of standard equipment are very generous indeed.
