The Ford Galaxy is the frumpy, dumpy face of the S-Max. Still seats for seven, but in a more upright classic MPV stance with its boxiness spelling out airport cab duties. For more information on the Ford Galaxy, click on our further stories on the links below.
60sec road test
There's nowt wrong with the Galaxy, just that it's in a dwindling sector. Buyers are migrating to the smaller midi-MPVs, such as the C-Max and B-Max in Ford's case. Renault has even stopped selling the Espace altogether. So it's hardly fashionable to drive big boxy wagons like this. But if you want the added space, then you won't be disappointed by the Galaxy. It's mechanically identical to the S-max underneath, so it drives, goes, stops and steers with great precision. In fact, it's probably one of the most dynamic full-sized people carriers on sale. Just a shame that most people prefer their seven-seaters in a smaller package.
