This is off-roading at its hardest; the comparison with the toughest Land Rovers is warranted. A Wrangler is capable of going to extraordinary off-road places, and the company's Rubicon trail testing journeys are legend. It's one of those cars with a purity of focus so distilled that it's impossible not to get the point of the Wrangler. It's pretty bad to drive on road, but we'll forgive it that. For when you turn left on to a dust track and disappear up a mountain trial - then you'll know you made a logical choice. Just remember you'll need another car for the other six days of the week when life is more mundane...
