When I’m using the Jogger while photographing CAR Giant Tests, it needs to perform many roles: spacious enough to carry everything I need to bring with me to do the job, roomy enough for me to lay in the boot for car-to-car photography, a mobile office during the day, a canteen for lunch breaks, comfortable transport to and from the location and, crucially, it must be able to go everywhere the cars we’re shooting go.

For a recent magazines about Jeep, which included taking on some of Rutland’s picturesque green lanes, the trusty Jogger truly lived up to its Extreme trim moniker – despite some miserable conditions, narrow soft-road lanes and slippery terrain.

With decent ground clearance, its questionable ‘rugged’ plastic arches and bumper guards, and Dacia’s clever Extended Grip traction control system, the Jogger went pretty much wherever the Jeeps could go, with the exception of a deep ford that was also too much for the new Avenger.

That’s quite possibly more off-roading than 95 per cent of full-fat SUV drivers will ever do. The Dacia Jogger’s talents continue to shine bright, as good, tough, family transport.
