No prizes for guessing the world’s most-scoop friendly place: the Nurburgring. More spyshots are taken at the Nordschleife than any other stretch of tarmac we can think of. The same goes for spy videos: engineers love honing their cars’ chassis at the ‘Ring, and our guys with the longest lenses have been busy papping the prototypes for the benefit of the small screen for many years now.
The original scoopster – Hans Lehmann – has been usurped by a new generation of automotive spies, each armed with digital cameras, video capture and laptops to beam the latest scoops to a pluralised digital media hungry for the latest snippet from the ‘Ring.
