New Ford Fiesta: the lowdown

It’s been five years since the current Fiesta went on sale but these exclusive shots reveal that Ford is ready to revamp its best selling supermini. Back in February CAR Online scooped the new Fiesta cold weather testing in Scandinavia. Then it was disguised as the current car, but these pictures expose Ford’s plans for the new Fiesta’s appearance when it arrives in UK showrooms next June.

It’s pretty well disguised. What are the differences?

The Fiesta is sure to follow the Mondeo’s path and take on Ford’s Kinetic look, so expect sharper lines, flared wheel arches and lower rear light clusters. Ford is also considering a broader market for the Fiesta. Sources say that the Fiesta will not just be confined to European showrooms but may make it to the US and the Far East. Come back to CAR Online tomorrow for more exclusive news on the new Fiesta and artist’s impressions of what it will look like when it hits the showrooms.
