VW Touran (2010): the new CAR spy photos

Published: 02 June 2009 Updated: 26 January 2015

The VW Touran is about to be facelifted to keep it soldiering on until an all-new replacement lands in 2013. Our spies caught this prototype testing in the Alps, revealing a little about the revised Touran.

It’s immediately apparent that the bulk of the improvements will be made to the Touran’s front end – shielded from view by black plastic cladding as engineers conduct towing tests in the mountains.

What will the facelifted VW Touran look like?

We can’t see much under that disguise, but it’s safe to say that the new Golf Mk6 will heavily influence the front end.

There will be a spread of new engines, too, including the VW Group’s latest 1.2 TSI and the latest 1.6 diesels.

This facelifted model, due to land in showrooms in early 2010, will then have to last until the next-generation mid-sized MPV, currently scheduled for spring 2013
