Noble M600 spotted in Leics homeland

An eagle-eyed off-duty CAR ad staffer was surprised at the weekend when Noble’s hi-vis M600 demonstrator pulled into the garage where he was refuelling.

He shouldn’t have been too shocked; Noble Automotive is based in Leicestershire and Mat Vernon was filling up at the Shell station near Broughton Astley.

‘The guy behind the counter at the filling station couldn’t believe his luck,’ says Mat. ‘He kept going on about how this was the very same car Clarkson had driven on Top Gear. He should have been more excited by the prospect of a lucrative supercar fuel bill!’

CAR drove the Noble M600 at our 2009 Performance Car of the Year event. A pretty special car, we concluded, but too pricey at around £200,000 for a fully carbon-bodied one. That’s a million miles away from the original Lee Noble format of affordable fun for which Noble sports cars became renowned.
